Amazon is going to be THE place to be this year to get all your holiday gifts, but there’s one thing that always tends to stop me in my tracks when it comes to online shopping: shipping charges.  I hate to pay for shipping for all my gifts, because it seems like it’s just a waste of money.  It’s cheaper, often, than a tank of gas but still I don’t like it.  Amazon is offering a free month of Amazon Prime, which will give us FREE 2-day shipping, so that we don’t have to pay for shipping!

Amazon Prime is normally a $79 service that I highly recommend for those of you who order often from Amazon.  You’ll get your orders quickly and it will save you tons in the long run.  But if you just want to buy a few Christmas gifts, that can be a lot to pay.  There’s where your free month comes in.  Here’s how to get your free month.  Don’t forget to follow each step so that you do not get a surprise $79 charge!

    • Register for Amazon Prime.
    • Enter your payment information to continue membership once your trial is over.   Be SURE that you see the offer for a free month or you WILL be charged.  Comment if you have a problem and I’ll try to fix it!
    • When that’s done, go to your Account, click on Settings, and then go to “Manage Prime Membership”.
    • Unless you wan to keep the service, select “Do Not Upgrade” so that you won’t be charged when the trial is over.  I am not condoning people taking advantage of Amazon.com, because I truly believe this is a great service.  Give it an honest try, and consider keeping it if you think you’ll use it.  I’m considering signing up with a paid membership because my blog giveaways often come from Amazon.com and it would be nice not to have to spend $25 to get free shipping.

I will have more Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials for Amazon.com coming up in the next few days, so please come back! It’s so much more fun to buy Christmas presents in your pj’s, don’t you think?  Plus, there are no crowds to fight and no parking spaces to hunt.
