Probablly not the kind of shoe that anyone would deem comfy, right?
For those of you who are in the Huntsville, AL area or nearby, Madison Square Mall is holding the Walk a Mile Shoe Drive to benefit Project Haiti through January 31.
This is a great time to go through your closets, and find those shoes that yoru kids have outgrown or your husband just won’t wear, or that pair htat you thought would look so cute with those jeans….and none of them have ever been worn, right? Donate them to the Wlak a Mile Shoe Drive. They are asking for odds and ends, overstock, even reasonably damaged or worn shoes.
Soles4Souls is working with trusted partners to provide one million pairs of new boots and shoes to help survivors begin the rebuilding process. As you can imagine, the amount of broken glass, twisted metal and raw sewage is staggering. Walk A Mile will rush this protective footwear to them as quickly as possible.

Times are tough for everyone, and if you haven’t been able to donate financially this is another great way to make a difference in the life of someone who may think that they have no hope. The people of Haiti have an unbelievably strong spirit that years of poverty and devastation has yet to break, so let’s help them and do what we can to make sure that they are helped out of this crisis. There are childrens’ shoes for $1 at Walmart right now, and clearance clothing as cheap as $1. Please consider picking up just one item to help out those people.
When you do, take a picture of it so that you can enter to win the All You Eat Well, Save Big giveaway happening soon!
