I really, really dislike having to use CAPTCHA codes for my comments, probably more than you like to have to enter them.  As an avid blog reader myself, they’re a pain in the lower region especially when I can’t figure them out or they won’t cooperate.  That being said, I don’t know another way to filter out what seems to be never-ending spam when I don’t use them.  When I don’t use CAPTCHA codes, I get 50 spam comments for every 3 real comments, and you can imagine how long it takes to filter those out.  If there’s a blogger out there with an alternative, please e-mail me at makingcentsoutoflife (at) gmail (dot) com. 

Many of you have e-mailed me about not being able to enter my giveaways because of CAPTCHA problems so my husband tinkered it and hopefully got it fixed so that you can enter the giveaways without any more problems.

Please continue to e-mail me if you have problems entering the giveaways.  I cannot enter for you, and the e-mails can’t count as entries.  I don’t want to end up in any legal trouble with all of the new blogger rules set forth recently, but I DO want to make things as easy for you as I can.  Especially when I’m giving things away!  So keep e-mailing me, we’ll keep working on fixing things, and if it comes down to it I will take down this contest and completely redo the contest in the future.

Many bloggers use entry forms for their giveaways so that will probably be my next method of doing giveaways but I have to figure out how to do that first.

I do have a couple of awesome giveaways this week coming up, so I hope that you will continue to stop by and enter, and read!  I have been somewhat absent this week but I pray all that changes this week.  I also have some major design work being done, so when all that is over you’ll have a completely new place to come and visit.  I’m so excited about the upcoming changes!!
