He’s good like that.

Keep in mind that a rebate can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to process in reality. When you spend the money from your budget consider it spent, and then whenever you get it back then you can consider it earnings (that’s just a tip and how I do mine). If you don’t have the extra money for the item in your budget, don’t spend it if the item isn’t a necessity because you won’t get your cash back any time soon in most cases. Again, I’m just telling you this as someone who’s been doing rebates for years as well as someone who’s worked in customer relations with people who have expected rebates within the 4-6 weeks they were assured they’d get their rebates. It doesn’t always happen! Honestly, rarely does it happen.

Put proper postage on your envelope. If you’re unsure, take it to the post office and ask. The rebate center will not pay your postage. Likewise, if they ask for a self-addressed stamped envelope, make sure you put one in there and make sure it’s enough.
Rebates aren’t something I’m good at remembering to do. If all I have to submit is the rebate form and the receipt, then I’m usually OK but if I have to remember to keep the UPC from the package then I typically don’t bother unless it’s a significant rebate or a money-maker. In reality, I don’t consider rebates money-makers because I have to spend my money and then wait until I’ve almost forgotten about it to get my rebate back, but I’m sure if I didn’t have adult ADD I might have an easier time with them and be more successful. Some people swear by rebates, and others are like me. Where do you fall? Do this rebate for your sweetie, and watch your car shine and be the envy of the neighborhood!
