So anyway, these are the freebies you can get at Walgreens this week.  There are a bunch.  I’m grateful to Lori for sharing with me!

Before I get into the weekly deals, I wanted to tell you to watch out for an Air Wick $4 coupon that could possibly print at the register when you make a purchase or buy something at the pharmacy.   We bought some Walgreens brand allergy meds  yesterday and one printed for an Air Wick iMotion Compact kit $4/1 coupon, and since they are 50% off this week it made the item FREE!  The coupon beeped, and my store cashier almost didn’t let me get the deal. 

Their policy states that they are supposed to adjust the amount of the item to match the value of the coupon, but she hadn’t obviously been told this.  It can be exasperating to shop at drugstores but when the deals are good, they are good!

**I posted this deal because I have seen various Coke tearpads out in the past few months, so you may be able to get a lot out of this deal.  I won’t buy any 12-packs for more than $2.75 per pack, and thats more than I want to pay.  Try to get any freebies you can!

April has already started at Walgreens, with a new monthly Instant Value coupon book, which is full of great coupons that you can combine with manufacturer’s coupons to get even better deals!

I know it’s late in the week for me to post anything about the drugstores, but I promsie you next week I’ll be back in the game a bit better.  Believe me when I assure you that I was disgusted with myself when I realized my Purex BOGO coupons already expired.  Those suckers didn’t last long did they? This was the week I wanted to use them!  UGH!

Anyway, onto the GOOD news!  Check out the frozen grocery part of your local Walgreens to see if they have any clearance.  The ones nearest me had a tono of ice cream that was 75% off!!  I got some Ben & Jerrys Chubby Hubby for $1.59, and they had a caramel marzipan flavor for just $1.29.  For B&J, that’s totally cheap!  They also had Dove ice cream bars with cashews for $.62, single burgers of cheese burgers for $0.32, and they were out of several things that were really super cheap like some Lean Cuisine meals under $1.  For those of you with larger stores than we have, there’s just no telling what you’ll find!  They had  afew other food markdowns in other areas like candy but nothing that good.  I hope you find some of it!

I’m assuming the store employees probablly took advantage of the deals before the rest of us got ahold of them, and I can’t blame ‘em because when I worked retail I remember at every store we’d scramble to buy what we could that was at a rock bottom price  when we had markdowns.   The store associates have to live on what they earn so I imagine they need the deals as bad as the rest of us; I remember always needing them, and nothin’s changed.

I love my Walgreens pharmacy.  I get a LOT of prescriptions each month, so they know me very well and treat me very well.   Before I started suffering chronic pain, I have to admit I was one of those people who hopped around just to get the gift cards for filling prescriptions, but I can’t do that anymore since I take certain medications. 

 I want to apologize for not getting the drugstore deals out any sooner.  I thought I would be able to get them out myself but my pain had me out of commission for too long, and I have too much to catch up on to do these lists. I absolutely have to do my grocery store matches, because no other blogger does my stores, but Lori does an amazing job with drugstore deals so you’ll be in great hands.  Please come join me later for our local Alabama grocery deals!

The print on the actual coupon is too small for me to read but the last time i wanted to use one of these coupons I had to use it at those counters and didn’t get the discount.  If you have a hard time reading the coupon just ask before you check out. Hindsight is 20/20 and I tend to learn the hard way.
