The last 3 months, it seems like all I’ve been posting are my 2 grocery store matches, a few freebies and not much else. That’s on a good week, too, which is pitiful compared to a few months ago. I’ve shared with you a lot of the things that have gone on, others aren’t major happenings unless they’re combined with the major ones, and then there’s the domino effect where one thing lead to another and it all falls down. I should call the first 3 months of our year The Domino or something corny like that.

I’m tired of writing the posts where I’m explaining to you that something is going on and that I’m apologizing for lack of posts. I’m sure you’re tired of reading that too. As an avid blog reader, I’m not sure I wouldn’t have stuck around a blog that didn’t deliver better content than I have in the last few months. I’m incredibly grateful to those of you who have, and I hope that those of you who are considering writing me off will reconsider because starting on Wednesday I’ll have a lot of great new content starting with some product reviews and giveaways.

I have decided that the only way I am going to finish anything is to start fresh. I will be taking the rest of this week to clean up my e-mail accounts, and I will be e-mailing the rest of you who have won contests for your mailing info. You will have 24 hours to get back to me, as the sponsors are in a hurry to get the winners’ pi=rizes out. After 24 hours, new winners will be chosen. After my Saturday at the ER I haven’t felt up to speed to do much today. Tomorrow I will be back up to par, on way or another God willing!
So i’ll post here and there this wee, mostly giveaways and the cool things I see when cleaning out my e-mail. Tomrrow I will be posting a permanent schedule which will start on Sunday, as well!

All of this may seem like mistyped jibberish and I’m sorry! But tomorrow I’ll be working hard to get caught up. E-mail me if you have any questions or comments, or a deal you want me to blog. I can’t wait for things to get back to normal but if I don’t get caught up I will continue to feel too overwhelmed to do anything.

I hope you all have a great week! Keep coming back by because I will have things posted that you’ll enjoy plus giveaways! I’ll be back on Saturday

My Frugal Adventures has the scoop on the Rite Aid ad sales for the week! It looks like a decent week when you combine the Single Check Rebate with the P&G $50 Rebate for the coupon book especially!

Make sure you check out your ad to make sure there’s nothing missed that you may need. You can learn more about health issues by watching short videos and earning printable Rite aid coupons by going to Ad Perk. I always choose to submit my Rite Aid Single Check rebates online as soon as I have made my last purchase for the month. Make sure you keep your receipts until you have received your rebate in case of problems; you won’t be able to get your money back without the proof.

You can get $3/$15 coupons here. Also get $5/$20 from AdPerk as your reward for watching videos. but they are short and, well, who says you gotta pay attention? Split your purchases up so you can use more of those coupons and get more bang for your buck!

P&G Promotion: Spend $30 in select P&G products, get a $10 Rite Aid gift card!! Don’t forget about the other promotion to spend $50 in P&G products and get back a $100 coupon book. My Frugal Adventures has all of the coupon matches and products listed as well as a pretty good scenario to get you going with it. There are a ton of P&G product coupons available since we got another good insert today, and I’ve seen a LOT of Glade candles on clearance if they count toward the rebate. Just recently I found some of the Glade candles from Christmas for $0.75, and they make nice additions to gift baskets and bags.

One tip for shopping at Rite Aid: Rite Aid often offers $25 gift cards for transferring your prescriptions to them. Do this when you can, and use that gift card to buy your items for your Single CHeck Rebate. This will allow you to turn that gift card into cash without spending any money out of pocket. I once had almost $100 in Rite Aid gift cards. Rite Aid does not allow you to use gift cards to pay for your prescriptions, or at least ours didn’t at the time, so I had to use the gift cards for other purposes. SInce we did not shop there regularly other htan my couponing, I used the gift card to buy my rebate items and turn it into a check! Free money is awesome, especially if the prescription is cheap!

Please let us know if you find any smokin’ hot Rite Aid deals for the week!

Coupons are regional. I could get a coupon for $1 off of 1 box of Rice Krispies, but you could get a coupon for $1.50 off of 2 boxes of Rice Krispies, for instance. Some areas may not even get that coupon at all. The Sunday Coupon Preview gives me a good idea of what is coming out so I can see if there’s something I need to order or find somewhere else. In my area of Alabama there’s usually a few coupons I don’t get that I really want, whether it’s a different value or just not in my paper at all.

Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy the inserts somewhere else. If there is only 1 insert in the newspaper that week, and you typically only buy your newspaper for the coupons, it’s cheaper to just buy the inserts from a clipping service unless there’s a coupon coming out thatyou have to have during the first few days of the week. Coupons and Things usually charges no more than $1 for a full insert, and that is if there’s a really hot coupon in the insert. The cheapest newspaper I can get with great coupons is $1.50. The other is $2, so you can see what I’m talking about. Now, if the newspaper is coming out with a coupon that I need to buy a freebie that I will need on Sunday or Monday, I’ll go ahead and get ny newspapers taht day. Usually that doesn’t happen, so I can just order my inserts from Coupons and Things. I can buy however many whole inserts I need, and spend half what I’d spend on entire newspapers plus it is more environmentally friendly!

Find ways to get your coupons that don’t cost as much as buying newspapers. Consider coupon trains, trading with people from forums, and also ask people at work and family who live in other places to send their extras to you! Trading coupons is a great way to get coupons you need while getting rid of the coupons you’ll never use.

When you’re deciding how many papers to buy, think of how many items you’re wanting to stockpile as well as the number of people you shop for. I like to have enough items in my home that we don’t run out of anything but I also like to have enough items on hand for my parents and brother, depending on the item. With toiletries, I try to get enough for everyone. We aren’t particular about which brands we buy although I have gotten used to buying the better stuff for free since I’ve started using coupons. Before, I was buying store brand and now that I can “afford” to buy the better stuff I try to stockpile it when it is free. Figuring out how many people you are buying for will help you figure out how many newspapers/inserts you are going to need.

Always, always, always go through your newspapers before you leave the store to make sure your inserts are in EVERY SINGLE PAPER. I’ve gotten burned more than once…more than I want to admit. At one gas station I used to go to, I honestly think the person who delivered them or worked there removed the inserts. They were missing too often to just be a coincidence. If you buy newspapers in a box and there’s no coupons in there, y ou can’t do anything about it really so take the time to buy them in a store whenever possible and go through them.

If you have any newspaper-buying questions, or anything else, leave a comment and I’ll do what I can to help answer. I buy a different amount each week of newspapers because that’s my only way to ge them. Luckily couponing isn’t real big around my hometown so there’s usually not a shortage of newspapers.

I need to go take a look at the lists to see what I will be buying in the morning, and to start planning some shopping trips to stock up on my freebies. Not to mention the organizing I need to do…I need a nap just thinking about it all!

All of the coupons can be previewed at Sunday Coupon Preview, so maybe you’ll have a better plan when you go to the store than I will!

What’s great is that some of these things are perfect for warm weather because they are short sleeved or shortrs in general.

My mom and I both love Woman Within because theyir bargains are so good and the quality is excellent. Unforunately my mom has lost so much weight that most of the cothing is too big for her now (I am proud!)) but I can still wear the stuff and I adore it.

I’m trying hard to muster up the willpower not to go there and place a huge order, especially since the car repairs we’ve had plus dental work that’s been unexpected have happened within a few weeks of one another. I think replenishing our “emergency” fund is much more important right now than buying cute clothes. Y’all go buy enough for all of us and tell me about the good bargaiins you get! I can’t wait to hear from some of you!

Don’t forget that American Eagle is offerng 40% off their clearance items through 3/6, which is Saturday! During prior end of season sales I have seen rock bottom prices on classic pieces like shirts, jeans, and other pants and sweaters. Getting AE sweaters for $10 and under is really great, and they have some pieces you can wear year round so you’re getting true steals!

Bath and Body Works is one of those stores I don’t shop unless I have a REALLY hot coupon, but right now I have 2! You can get a free travel size item with any purchase (I love the anti bacterial gels!!) AND you can get a free home fragrance or signature collection body care item with any $15 purchase!

Just my 2 cent review but B&BW has this air freshener spray sort of like Febreeze that is just amazing in a lemon scent! It’s $7.50 per bottle, but it lasts for days longer than any other spray we have ever bought and leaves my house smelling like I spend hours cleaning. We have 2 tiny dogs inside so we use it to keep the house from smelling like dog, but it would also be great for anybody with kids or anybody who just likes to clean but is short on time to get that awesome just-clean scent! They have 3-4 scents, so check it out and pick your fave

Coach and Coach Outlet stores are offering 20% off through March 7! Thanks, Saving Cents with Sense!!

This week has not gone as planned. A sense of normalcy that I hoped would be brought to us simply hasn’t happened. Needless to say something had to be sacrificed and that something was the grcoery ad matches this week. They each take 2-4 hours and I just didn’t feel liked sitting up in front of my PC to work on them during what litle time we were home. I’ve found that I’m needing a little more rest the last few days than I am used to. I WILL be getting them done next week I promise!
