We all love a great deal, otherwise you wouldn’t be hanging around reading a blog that promotes spending as little as possible to get the most you can out of life.
I’ve never lived near a thrift store that had really good quality clothes, so buying things at a thrift store hasn’t ever really been an option for my family. I’ve always settled for buying things as cheap as I can find it brand new. I know a lot of you are in that same situation so I try to bring things like this to your attention when I can.
Anyway, a lot of people love to shop at Lands’ End for their quality merchandise and their extremely generous satisfaction guarantee. For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, the Lans’ End Satisfaction Guarantee reads, “If you’re not satisfied with any item, simply return it to us at any time for an exchange or refund of its purchase price.”
However, for some of us, the normal day-t0-day prices of Lands’ End products are too costly to purchase brand new. When you have growing kids, I would imagine shelling out $40 for a pair of pants isn’t often feasible. I don’t shell out $40 for pants for ME! I was thrilled to find the Lands’ End Outlet department, and I wasn’t sure if I was the last girl on Planet Earth to find it. Just in case I’m not, I thought I’d share some of my finds with you!
Check out their shoe prices for the entire family, first of all! They had shoes starting at just $3.99 in styles that are great for all seasons. Lands’ End had some super cute sandals for the whole family super cheap. Even the mens’ department, often neglected where sales are concerned, had good prices. I think you’ll like what you see.
Almost everything in the Lands’ End Outlet is perfect condition, just Overstock. They do have a section called Not Quite Perfect, where the merchandise has slight flaws like a bad hem or the size might be a little bit off. Each item you click on in the NQP section will tell you what the flaw is, and I spoke to a customer service rep who told me that most of the time the flaw was unnoticeable or could easily be repaired, but they have strict standards so they couldn’t sell it at full price.
Right now you can find some men’s regular basic polo shirts for $5.99, and it says there’s measuring and packaging faults. Further reading leads me to believe that unless you’re a sewing afficianado you won’t notice any flaws. Plus, their return policy stands for the NQP items as well. It stands for every item Lands’ End sells, so if you buy a NQP item at a huge discount and just can’t live with the flaws or fix them, you can return it. We’re talking steep discounts here, not minor ones!
The other part of the Lands End Overstock I want to bring to your attention is the On the Counter section. Each Saturday, limited quantities of clothing from the catalog is put out at very reduced prices. Let me stress the limited quantities and ridiculously low prices.
On Monday, that same merchandise is reduced 25%. On Wednesday, it’s reduced 50%. Finallly, on Friday it’s marked down 75%. Then on saturday anothe group of clothing is released. Since todays prices are 50%, I can tell you that the On The Counter prices are good! I saw ladies’ jeans under $12, and kids’ under $10.
Those of you who have school-aged children might be interested in their school uniform section, because they have great basics really cheap.
I was really impressed by some of these prices, and I don’t shop a lot online. I saw some things I really thought were good prices on things for one’s home, and prices for travel items like totes.
This is not an affiliate post, nor is it a sponsored or paid post. I saw a deal posted at Slick Deals, but it wasn’t one I was crazy about. But when I looked into it a little further I found things I really DID like, like those shoe prices. I thought if I liked them somebody else might too.
